Day 1. Tuesday, October 14 (Jordan)
Overnight flight to Amman.

Day 2. Wednesday, October 15 (Amman)
Meeting, assistance & transfer to our hotel. Short orientation, Thanksgiving Mass followed by our welcome dinner.
Day 3. Thursday, October 16 (Petra)
PETRA ~ described as 'a rose-red city half as old as time' ~ a Nabatean town ~ a designated UNESCO world heritage site. The impressive path to Petra known as The Siq ~ the shaft; Ahead of the Siq is the dramatic view of The Treasury ~ remarkably preserved (where riches were once rumored to be hidden) - featured in the sequence of Indiana Jones, the last Crusader.
Day 4. Friday, October 17 (Amman/Kerak/Madeba/Mt. Nebo/Amman)
Drive along the 'Kings Highway', destination - Castle of Kerak, the largest of mountain-top crusader castles. Nest Madeba, 'The City of Mossaics', visit the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George, home to a 6th century Byzantine map showing the Holy Land. Then, feel the biblical atmosphere from start to finish as we experience this divine tour of Mt. Nebo - the place where Moses is believed to have seen the 'Promised Land'. Visit the Sanctuary at Nebo, the memorial of Moses, the presumed site of his death & burial place. Mt. Nebo is also where the Blessed Pope John Paul II tread on his first pilgrimage of the millenium.
Day 5. Saturday, October 18 (Amman/Jerash/Tel Aviv)
Drive to Jerash ~ the grandeur of Imperial Rome being one of the largest and most well preserved sites of Roman architecture in the world outside Italy. To this day, it's paved & colonnaded streets, soaring hilltop temples, theaters, public squares and plazas, baths, fountains & city walls pierced by towers & gates remain in exceptional condition.
Day 6. Sunday, October 19 (Caesarea/Stella Maris/Nazareth/Tiberias)
Drive towards ancient Caesarea to view the impressive archaeological remains of the Roman & Byzantine city. Caesarea is where Peter came to understand that the good news was not just for the Jews but the entire world & also, where Paul set sail for Rome, that eventually brought Christianity to the World. Continue our drive to Haifa to visit Stella Maris ~ a Carmelita Monastery dedicated to Our Lady of Mr. Carmel. Then to Nazareth ~ the site of Mother Mary's home & the town where Jesus lived as a child. We also get to visit the Byzantine Church of Joseph & Mary. Next destination: Tiberias.
Day 7. Monday, October 20 (Sea of Galilee)
THE MINISTRY OF CHRIST IN THE GALILEE
Today's mission: Boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Mount of Beatitudes, scene of Jesus' great Sermon on the Mount. Nearby Tabgha, where Jesus fed the crowd of 5,000. Then, onto the site known as 'Peter's Primacy' ~ where Jesus (after His resurrection) meet with His disciples and told Peter: 'feed my lambs; feed my sheep' (John 21:9). A short drive to Caperman ~ Jesus' home during the years of his ministry (Matt 4:13) Peter, Andrew, James & John were fisherman living in the village, as well as Matthew, the tax collector. Drive to Cana, known throughout the Christian world, as it was the scene of Jesus' first miracle ~ 'the transformation of water into wine at the wedding' (John 2:1-11). Visit the Franciscan Chapel & maybe celebrate the Renewal of Wedding Vows.

Day 8. Tuesday, October 21 (Mt. Tabor/Jericho/Jordan River/Jerusalem)
Drive to Mount Tabor rising about 500 meters above Jezreel Valley. Mount Tabor Church - site of Jesus Christ Transfiguration (best time to reflect on Christ's humanity and divinity). Drive down the Jordan Valley to Jericho's city of palm trees' ~ the oldest continously inhabited city in the world. View the Mount of Temptation ~ where Jesus was tempted by the devil (Matt 4:8) and see a live Sycamore Tree. Visit Yardenit ~ the celebrated baptismal site on the Jordan River. (renewal of baptism maybe)
Day 9. Wednesday, October 22 (Jerusalem/Temple Model/Ein Karem/Bethlehem)
THE VISITATION AND NATIVITY
Start the day with a visit to the Second Temple scale model for an overview of Jerusalem as it was at the time of Jesus. Then drive tothe village of Ein Karem ` birthplace of John the Baptist. Walk up the hill to the 'Church of the Visitation' - honors the visit paid by Mother Mary to Elizabeth, John the Baptist's mother (Luke 1:39-56). Later, in Bethlehem ~ the birthplace of Jesus & is indeed the "Cradle of Christianity'. We'll visit the Church of the Nativity, the Holy Manger, the Basilica of St. Catherine & the Milk Grotto. We'll drive down to the Shepherds' Field - where the angel of the Lord appeared to the shepherds announcing the good news.
Day 10. Thursday, October 23 (Qumran/Masada/Dead Sea/Bethany)
EARLY YEARS IN JERUSALEM AND THE WILDERNESS
Drive down the Jordan Valley to Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Take a cable car to Masada, learn about the heroic last stand of the Zealots. Then to the Dead Sea, lowest point on earth. Swim and/or dip and enjoy the mud of the dead sea. Drive through the Judean Wilderness, where Jesus spent 40 days fasting. Then to Bethany, where He raised Lazarus from the dead.
Day 11. Friday, October 24 (Mt. Olives/Gethsemane/Mt. Zion/Western Wall)
PALM SUNDAY AND THE AGONY IN THE GARDEN
Start with a panoramic view of Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives. Next to Pater Noster Shrine, where Jesus taught his disciples 'The Lords Prayer'. Walk down the Palm Sunday Road to stop at the little church - Dominus Flevit - where Jesus wept over Jerusalem. Then to the 'Garden of Gethsemane' (with trees whose roots go back to the time of Jesus) - reflects on Jesus' final night. Continue our visit to the Church of All Nations 'Rock of the Agony', a section of bedrock identified as the place where Jesus prayed alone on the night of His arrest. The Western Wall, to see all that was left of the Temple compound that dates to the time of Jesus, On to the house of the highest priest - Caiaphas, where Jesus was interrogated & imprisoned. Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, commemorates Peter's triple denial of Jesus, his repentance & his reconciliation with Jesus after his Resurrection. Later up to Mt. Zion to visit the Upper Room, commemorates the 'Last Supper'.
Day 12. Saturday, October 24 (Via Dolorosa/Holy Sepulchre)
THE WAY OF THE CROSS CRUCIFIXION . RESURRECTION
Start with 'Via Dolorosa' - way of the sorrows, way of grief or simply painful way - is a street in two parts, within the Old City of Jerusalem. The winding route from the Antonia Fortress is today marked by nine stations in the street markets and the five stations inside the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

Day 13. Sunday, October 26 (Tel Aviv/USA)
Breakfast, Transfer to the airport for our flight back home.
